In short
- PitStop is an online session of roughly 90 minutes. Six technology companies present around a single theme. No video recording is made.
- What you enter is used first and foremost to register you, and to send you the calendar invitation and joining details.
- Whether your contact details go to the presenting companies is entirely your decision. Choosing "do not share" does not affect your registration — you still attend.
- Your data is stored on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, and is accessed by the data controller, which is incorporated in the United States. So there is a transfer abroad; details below.
- You can withdraw any consent at any time by writing to team@pitgrowth.com.
Data controller
PitGrowth LLC (incorporated in the United States).
Address: 4 Peddlers Row, Newark, DE 19702, United States.
For requests and questions: team@pitgrowth.com
Requests are concluded within 30 days at the latest.
What we process
What you enter in the form:
- Company name, full name, your role, email address, phone (optional)
- Your contact-sharing choice: email and phone / email only / do not share
- Whether you want a demo (yes/no)
- Your answers to at most four session-specific questions (multiple choice, short text, or a pick from the list of 42 industries)
What the system records automatically:
- The language of the form and the link you arrived through (campaign/utm information)
- The version of the notice you read, the time you confirmed it, and the time of registration
Purposes, legal grounds and how we collect it
- Registering you, sending the calendar invitation and joining details, and sending essential session notices (time change, cancellation): KVKK Art. 5/2-(c). Attendance is a contractual relationship and these steps are directly related to establishing and performing it. No consent is required for them; by registering you are asking for them.
- Managing capacity, keeping a record of attendance, and using your answers to the session questions to shape the content for the audience: KVKK Art. 5/2-(f), legitimate interest.
- Passing your contact details to the presenting technology companies: EXPLICIT CONSENT (Art. 5/1). Only happens if you choose "email and phone" or "email only".
- PitGrowth contacting you for a product demo: EXPLICIT CONSENT (Art. 5/1). Only happens if you tick the demo box.
Data is collected electronically, through the form on pitgrowth.com, filled in by you.
Being informed is not the same as consenting
- The checkbox on the form only states that you have read this notice. It is not a consent declaration and does not stand in for consent.
- Two things require consent: passing your contact details to the presenting companies, and being contacted for a demo. Each is asked as a separate question, and you can decline both.
- Declining costs you nothing. You still attend, and you still receive the calendar invitation and joining details.
Transfer to the presenting companies
- If you choose "email and phone": your full name, company, role, email address and phone number go to the technology companies presenting at the session you registered for, and to no one else.
- If you choose "email only": the same details go, without your phone number.
- If you choose "do not share": none of your contact details are transferred.
- Those companies use the details for their own sales and marketing purposes. From the moment of transfer they are controllers in their own right for their own decisions; their retention and use follow their own policies. To stop their contact you may also approach them directly.
- Your answers to the session questions are not transferred with your contact details; they are used to prepare the content.
Withdrawing your consent
- One email to team@pitgrowth.com is enough. No reason is needed and there is no charge.
- Withdrawal takes effect going forward. If a transfer has already been made, on your request we inform the companies we sent your details to; you may also approach them directly about the records they hold.
- If you withdraw the demo consent, we stop contacting you for sales purposes.
- Withdrawing consent does not affect your attendance at the session.
Transfer abroad
- Data is stored on Supabase, on AWS servers in the Frankfurt region (Germany, eu-central-1).
- The site runs on Vercel infrastructure. The calendar invitation and other emails are sent through a third-party email provider.
- Because the data controller is incorporated in the United States, the data is also accessed from the United States.
- Your personal data is therefore transferred abroad within the meaning of KVKK Art. 9. The legal mechanism relied on for that transfer: [to be completed with counsel before publication].
- Where a presenting company is established outside Türkiye, the transfer to it is made solely on the basis of the explicit consent you gave above.
- Data may be shared with competent public authorities where the law requires it.
- For our infrastructure and general privacy practices: /legal/privacy-policy
How long we keep it
- We keep your registration details and your answers to the session questions for 12 months from the session date.
- We keep the records showing when you gave consent and against which version of this notice for 3 years, because we must be able to prove consent.
- At the end of these periods records are deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
- To have them deleted sooner, write to team@pitgrowth.com.
- If your details were transferred to a presenting company, retention at that company follows its own policy.
Your rights
Under KVKK Art. 11 you may:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed, and request information if it is
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose
- Know the third parties to whom the data is transferred, in Türkiye or abroad
- Request correction if the data is incomplete or inaccurate
- Request erasure or destruction
- Request that correction, erasure and destruction be notified to third parties the data was transferred to
- Object to an adverse outcome produced solely by automated analysis
- Claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing
For requests: team@pitgrowth.com. We reply within 30 days at the latest. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board (KVK Kurulu).
