About

Global Link is a registered charity and development education centre established in 1993 in Lancashire. The organization delivers global citizenship education, participatory workshops, teacher training, community heritage research, and dedicated support and integration services for refugees and asylum seekers.

Services

Community Interpretation Service

Provides trained community interpreters proficient in languages including Arabic, Sorani, Pashtu, Farsi, Punjabi, and Urdu to support organisations with spoken translation and cross-cultural communication needs across the Lancaster District and surrounding areas.

Teacher Training and CPD Courses

Delivers Continuing Professional Development and Global Learning Programme approved courses for primary and secondary teachers, exploring global citizenship, migration, human rights, sustainable development, and Philosophy for Children critical thinking methodologies.

Refugee and Asylum Seeker Support

Provides daily advice, casework, and integration support for asylum seekers and refugees, facilitating access to legal representation, healthcare, education, language classes, weekly community lunches, volunteering opportunities, and employment assistance for individuals with Leave to Remain.
